Angel is my best friend + sister, and she and her husband David, went on a super long road trip all the way from Florida to come see family! They are one of the most adventurous couples I know because it was their THIRD time road tripping all the way from Florida (and back!!) to come see us! I had the opportunity to go with them twice and it was one of my favorite trips ever because we stopped in places like the Ark Encounter in Kansas, Mt Rushmore in South Dakota, Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, Niagara Falls in New York and a ton of more cool places along the way! (thinking of doing a blog post about this epic road trip!)

I'm not exactly a morning person, but when it comes to an adventure session to go see the sunrise, i’ll get up in a heartbeat! Woke up extra early this morning and went to Kress Lake to capture some beautiful portraits of David and Angel. When we arrived, there was a thick blanket of fog dancing around the lake that was so still, it looked like glass. I literally squealed from happiness because If you know me, fog is one of my favorite kinds of weather. The reflections in the water + the fog made it so magical. We walked along the shore as I snapped a few shots of them with the last bit of fall in the backdrop before the sun rose from behind the mountain. When the sun finally peaked out and the sun rays beamed through the fog, let me tell you, it was one of the most spectacular sights seen. My heart was very full and happy after this sunrise session, despite having to wake up early and run around in what felt like below freezing weather + this cute couple was down to wake up super early n bear the cold morning with me!
