the unique details in a spring wedding

Hi all!

I know that this gallery is technically a spring time wedding, but I’ll be honest with you, it’s one of my favorites to come back to for inspiration for my clients - which is why I really wanted to share with you! It’s another great reminder of how important it is to make a wedding uniquely your own, and to focus on the aspects of it that are important to you!

Everything about Samson and Anna’s wedding was beautifully sweet and romantic- just as they planned it. They chose to hold the ceremony outside under the gazebo and take full advantage of the Oregon spring weather by having a tented reception nearby. And while they made sure to incorporate some of their favorite things like dessert tables, flowers and a sparkler exits- but the biggest focus of their wedding wasn’t in the decorations or reception details. But was how they’d remember the whole day.

Early on Samson and Anna explained that they wanted to make their wedding photos a priority, they wanted to have timeless, fun portraits of themselves and their people that they could look back at and smile on how much joy was there. But at the same time, they also didn’t want to compromise the day by taking those photos.

So to find the best of both worlds, we booked a studio session.

We made sure that there was the same sweet, romantic sentiment in the photos, but also the personality and party there too! We gave the portraits the same level of fun and nostalgia as we did the photos that came from their wedding day- so much so that as I was putting this gallery together both days seemed to effortlessly seem together.

I know there’s always more advice then a couple may want when their planning their wedding, but if I can offer one piece, it would be please don’t compromise on the things that are important to you- simply work together and find a way to make it all work. It’s your day after all!

So I hope you love this as much as I do, and maybe, just maybe it’ll inspire you to try to do things a different way!
