Columbia River Gorge Engagement | Noah + Kailey
The Columbia River Gorge is one of my favorite places ever and I'm blessed that I get to call this beautiful place my backyard. Growing up, my family would always take road trips in the summer around the gorge and its some of my favorite childhood memories.
If you know me, you know that I LOVE hiking, and if I could, iβd hike every trail here but that's impossible haha. A few of my favorite hikes in the Columbia River Gorge is Munra Point (extremely difficult because your pretty much scrambling up on all 4βs the whole way up, but oh so worth the view!) Mitchell Point, Larch Mountain, and the Eagle Creek Trail on the Oregon side, and Hamilton Mountain, Dog Mountain, and Panther Creek falls on the Washington side. There's a ton more favorite hikes + hikes that are still on my bucket list that I hope to cross off this summer!
I got to photograph Noahβs and Kaileyβs engagement pictures in Government Cove (and I can't wait for their wedding!!) We got blessed with such amazing and beautiful weather too! Government cove is the perfect place for engagement pictures if your wanting both water and mountain scenery that does not require a super long hike up the mountains. This little island is located not far from the Bridge of Gods and it's such a beautiful place (scroll down to see for yourself!)
After weβd already ended the session, we were walking back to the car when in the distance we saw the mountain tops turn a soft pink color... and then we turned around and saw the most breathtaking sunset ever!! The sky was bursting with colors and it turned everything pink! We had to run back to the water and take a few more pictures because it was unbelievable & kept getting better by the second. I'm so happy we did because those are probably some of my favorite pictures from this session.
