Deepwood Museum & Gardens Engagement Session | Conall + Spencer
I love it when my couples pick unique locations that are meaningful and special to them for their engagement photos. Conall and Spencer choose the Deepwood Museum and Gardens for their engagement photos and I fell in LOVE with that place! Located in the heart of downtown Salem, Deepwood is a Victorian historic house designed in the Queen Anne style, situated in a public park with several different beautiful gardens, nature trails, greenhouse, and original carriage house. Every corner of this garden was so picturesque!!!

The weather couldn’t have been any more perfect, and the overcast skies cast the most perfect soft lighting!
Most people think that supper sunny weather is the best for photos when actually, thats not always the case (only if it’s a sunrise or sunset shoot, then that golden sun flare is perfection;) Overcast skies create even lighting, so theres no worry about having weird spotted lighting or super washed out backgrounds. You can literally stand anywhere and the photo will look amazing! When its supper sunny outside, it gets a bit more tricky with having to decide where to stand so that the lighting is even on the faces and the surrounding area.
We had so much fun exploring these beautiful gardens together and taking photos in all the aesthetic corners! I can’t wait to come back here and shoot again in the future!
