Hatchers Pass, Alaska Engagement Shoot | Mikey + Jasmine

Hatchers Pass, Alaska

intimate engagement photos in the mountains of Alaska

Sometimes, you come across shoots that feel like purely magic - this was one of them. Maybe it was because we were in Alaska, surrounded by the grand mountains, or maybe because it was spontaneously planned, one of those very last-minute kinds of shoots. Or maybe it was because none of us had any kind of expectation of how this would go. We just showed up, explored and went with the flow!

During our time spent in Alaska, the weather was completely unpredictable - sunshine one minute and raining the next so you could never tell what you would get until you were within the one hour mark. So the morning of Mikey and Jasmine’s session, we decided to wake up early, hope for the best and just do it. And man did Alaska come through with the weather! We got all the moodiness and mountain views - more than we thought we'd get! It started raining just as we were wrapping up the shoot and as soon as we hopped in the car, it started dumping rain like no other. It couldn't have been any more perfect!

Mikey & Jasmine absolutely slayed this shoot - embracing the wild & unpredictable weather, being down to run through the bushy mountains and having the best time with each other! Hatchers Pass was one of the places they frequently came to visit when they first started dating a few years ago. And just a few weeks ago, it’s where they got engaged, so it was only fitting to come back to the place it all began!
