Pacific City, Oregon Surprise Proposal | Josh + Hope
Hi again! It’s Wednesday so that means it's time for another love story!
This is the story of Josh and Hope, a sweet couple who’s surprise sunrise proposal was one straight out of your favorite romcom! You know, the one where the guy is just so head over heels that he does everything in his power to make everything absolutely perfect for his girl!
Josh got in touch with me back in October about proposing to Hope (mind you they got engaged just a few weeks ago at the beginning of May!!) and mentioned that Hope was a big fan of my work. So in the spirit of planning the perfect proposal for his perfect girl, Josh wanted to reach out and see if I was available to capture this moment for them...and after hearing that how could I refuse?!
Josh and I immediately got to planning the best way to surprise Hope and settled on Pacific City Beach on the Oregon coast for their intimate beach proposal. Not only have I shot there before, and quite honestly loved this little quiet, scenic Oregon Coast town, but this was one of the first spots that Josh and Hope spent time together early on in their relationship. So it only felt right that the first pages of their next chapter start in the same place!
Josh really did pull out all the stops for this day. From the scene, to the ring, to the people there. Trusting only his sister and brother-in-law to set up the proposal site, he asked them to make the drive down from Seattle because he knew they’d do it right. And if that isn’t enough for you, Josh is a big fan of pottery, so the vases you’ll see in this gallery are handmade by Josh, crafted with this day in mind. *cue the tears*
So the reason why I wanted to share Josh and Hope’s gallery with you is because it’s so heartfelt and unique, with every detail being the most romantic and genuine. And as a photographer I can’t ask for much more. Especially because Josh allowed me into his meticulous planning and trusted me to capture this moment for them in the most honest way possible…
